PfC has started a collaboration with African Mosaique on the project «Young designers fashion incubator program».
This is a continuation of a previous collaboration between PfC and African Mosaique.
What is new in this project is that – in addition to the incubator program in Addis Ababa – a program will be established at the University of Bahir Dar. There will be an exchange program between the universities of Addis Ababa and Bahir Dar. PfC will fund parts of the program.
African Mosaïque was founded and is run by Anna Getaneh. After living and working with fashion around the world, Anna returned home to Ethiopia to contribute to the development of the country. She is a well-known philanthropist and has i.a. ensured that many children get an education. Through the establishment of the African Mosaique Design Center and Manufacturing Hub, she has created many jobs and focused on Ethiopian and African design. Through the incubator program, Ethiopian youth get the opportunity to develop their talents and gain knowledge about design and entrepreneurship.
African Mosaique aims to promote the production and export of African clothing, textiles, accessories and fashion to local, regional and international markets.
