The organisation

Partnership for Change was established in order to be a driving force for greater cooperation and new methods in aid and development work. We have developed our own way of working. Since starting up in 2012 we have learnt that our method leads to sustainable solutions for individuals and local communities. We currently have projects in Ethiopia and Myanmar.

We have based our activities on our own model for sustainable development. Since beginning our work in 2012 we have learnt that our method is capable of achieving sustainable solutions for individuals and local communities.

We are currently experiencing an increased interest in and understanding for our way of thinking, not least after the Norwegian Parliament adopted the White Paper Working together – private sector development in Norwegian development cooperation in the spring session of 2016.
Our method is based on cross-sectoral cooperation and social innovation. We do not engage in aid and charity work in the traditional sense, but carry out targeted measures and investments based on clearly defined sustainability requirements – not only financially, but also socially and environmentally.

Our activities are funded by the private sector. Our partners play a decisive role in our work – not only financially but also by sharing their expertise and their networks with us. In Norway, this is unique, as not-for-profit organisations largely rely on other sources of finance, primarily membership dues, public fundraising and/or governmental support.

PfC’s head office is in Norway and the foundation has projects in Myanmar and Ethiopia. The organisation is registered in the Foundation Registry and is a member of Frivillighet Norge, the Association of NGOs in Norway, and international organisations such as the European Venture Philanthropy Association (EVPA) and the Asian Venture Philanthropy Network (AVPN).

PfC focus on the following SDGs:
4. Quality Education
5. Gender Equality
8. Decent work and Economic Growth
10. Reduce Inequality
17. Partnerships for the Goals
