Ready to Make a Difference
On November 2, 2024, 66 daycare assistants graduate from our six-month training program, a critical step towards addressing Ethiopia’s shortage of trained childcare providers.
Since we launched this initiative seven years ago, our Montessori-inspired training has equipped over 370 graduates with the skills and knowledge to deliver quality care and education.
This rigorous training empowers childcare providers with practical hands-on techniques to enhance and support children’s development and is delivered by local trainers certified by Zigiju through Waterpark Montessori International, following an 18-month intensive preparation and the creation of a locally adapted training manual.
Qualified childcare professionals are essential for quality early education, and we are proud to see each graduate enter the workforce ready to make a lasting impact.
We extend our heartfelt appreciation to the Ministry of Women and Social Affairs, the dedicated Zigiju training team, and the immense support from Waterpark Montessori Internationalfor their invaluable partnership in making this program a success.
