Opening of Summit ECCE Centre
22nd of June the ECCE-centre in Summit Community was officially opened. Representatives from the community, the government (incl. the mayor of Addis), PfC and the press were present.
The ECCE centre is newly refurbished, and a new outdoor playing area has been installed. The furniture and playing materials have been supplied by Five Dots. The centre has already become a showcase, and recently representatives from UN and ILO visited the centre as well as the Mayor of Addis Ababa.
30 children have been registered to start within the next few weeks.
The centre offers quality care and education to the children in Summit community in Addis Ababa. This centre is part of a bigger ECCE program PfC implements together with the Ethiopian government. The centre in Summit Community is pilot for further expansion in similar communities throughout Ethiopia.
All the ECCE centres PfC are supporting have trained staff and receive regular follow-up from our ECCE-team in Ethiopia.
The project is supported by The Foundation “Et Rikere Liv”.
The quality of this centre is what our children deserve.
